SPOTLIGHT ARTIST: Growing up in Virginia, music is clearly what motivates Mickie the most. “Singing and songwriting is something I’ve always enjoyed,” she says. “I used to plug up my mic to my little cassette player and I would record myself singing a song on the radio. I’d play it back and take it to my parents and ask them to listen.” Mickie’s interests would be encouraged and expanded. By the time she was in high school she had already become a published poetry and short story writer, and was offered a scholarship to a prestigious Maine literary arts college. She also spent five years playing violin with her school’s orchestras.

Mickie was in a 4 way Knockouts match on TNA Impact this week. She won. The video is below.
As we have had listed on the site for months on the Appearances page, Mickie will be making an appearance in Marietta, Ohio for Remix Pro Wrestling on Saturday April 2nd. She’ll be wrestling a top performer from Ring of Honor, Sara Del Ray, for the first time ever. Below we’ve got a poster for the event and some information from the event’s promoter Adam Johnson.
Mickie made a brief appearance on Impact this week. She appears at the 40 second mark in this video. And she’s not on there for long, so be sure to pay attention!

TNA’s Mickie James and Jeremy Borash were on the Monsters in the Morning show in Orlando (XM 152).
– She talked about this being her first country album, Strangers & Angels. The hosts asked her how we can get more people into country music. She said there’s a misconception about the music and now it can be a little bit of southern rock with pop too, so people should be open to the crossover that’s there. The hosts talked about how that Country Strong movie did poorly at the theaters in its opening weekend because some people get turned off by country music.
This past Sunday at TNA Genesis, Mickie James got her first opportunity at TNA’s Knockouts Championship. She had the upper hand against champion Madison Rayne, but due to Tara interfering Madison was able to retain the title by using a loaded glove to knock Mickie out. Keep watching TNA Impact to see if this feud will continue and if Mickie will get another opportunity at the Knockouts Title.
